MICHAEL P. McCLELLAN

June 22, 1960 — July 27, 2010

Michael P. McClellan, age 50, of Columbia City, Ind. passed away at 4:55 a.m. on July 27, 2010 at his residence. Born on June 22, 1960 in Auburn, Ind., he was the son of Alpheus and Martha (Dewitt) McClellan.
He was a Whitley County resident since 2008 prior to that he lived in LaOtto for 16 years. He graduated from Auburn High School with the Class of 1978. On May 3, 1996, he married Glenda S. Wooten in Albion, IN. Most recently he worked at Busche Inc., Albion having also worked at Snax N' Pax and Kautextron in Avilla.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda S. McClellan of Columbia City; 4 step-children, Amber M. (Nathan) Healy of Columbia City; Crystal S. (Andrew) Shirey of Fort Wayne, IN; William G. (Erica) Wicker of Grabill, IN; Hope L. Hogle of Columbia City; brother, Matthew (Tina Larner) McClellen of Albion, IN; sister, Melinda (Lee) Hess of Zulu, IN; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will be immediately after visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Mike Smith of Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home officiating. At the request of the family please wear casual attire. Burial will follow at Hooper-King Cemetery in Avilla, Ind. Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. McClellan to the family c/o DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home to assist with final expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
