MICHAEL RAY WILSON

October 6, 1964 — May 23, 2008

Michael Ray Wilson, age 43, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. Born on October 6, 1964 in Fort Wayne, IN, he was the son of David R. and Ruth D. (Mercer) Wilson.

He attended Wayne High School in Fort Wayne, IN. A Fort Wayne native until 2000 when he moved to Columbia City, he was a former employee as a cook at Eagles Lodge #1906 and the Columbia City Post Mail. On April 16, 2004, he married Lori Ile in Columbia City. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #1906, Columbia City.

Survivors include his wife, Lori Ile of Columbia City; sons, Jack and Brian Wilson both of Fort Wayne; mother, Ruth D. Mercer of Fort Wayne; father, David R. (Marilyn) Wilson of Columbia City;step-brother, J. Blake (Courtney) Walker of Fort Wayne; step-sister, April C. (Stephen) Talamantes of Columbia City; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rex P. Mercer, Sr., uncles, Rex Mercer, Jr. and Terry Wilson, and mother-in-law, Sherrie Ile.

A memorial service is at 11 a.m. with 1 hour of visitation with the family prior to service on Monday, May 26, 2008 at Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 709 Business 30 W, Columbia City with Pastor Ross ODell officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Nolt Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorials may be given in Mr. Wilsons memory to the Wilson family.
