Michelle "Missy" Hoover, 54, of Lagrange, Ind. and formerly of Columbia City, passed away Saturday morning, February 17, 2018 at her mom's home. Born June 24, 1963 in Warsaw, she was the daughter of John "Chuck" Hagans and Sue (Morrison) Bonar.
She graduated from Central Noble High School with the Class of 1981. On September 15, 2007 she married Michael A. Hoover at Eagle Quest Church. She worked at Silgan Plastics in Ligonier for 20 years and had been the manager of Atwood Lake Campground until the fall of 2017. Missy enjoyed quilting, crocheting, crafts and camping.
Survivors include her daughter, Shannon (Tyler) Scott, of Cromwell; sons, Edward (Tanalee) Scott, of Columbia City and John (Kelsie Lee) Scott, of Lagrange; father, John "Chuck" Hagans, of Mobile, Ala.; mother, Sue (Stan) Bonar, of Kendallville; siblings, Mark Bonar, of Lakeland, Fla., Lorie Shepherd, of Syracuse and Kathy Holland, of Wolcottville; and grandchildren, Shane, Nicolas, Parker, Gage, Trenton and Hunter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael A. Hoover and sister, Linda Leitch.
A private graveside service will be at Pleasant Chapel Cemetery, Roanoke where she will be laid to rest with Mike. Memorial donations may be made in her memory toward her final expenses, in care of DeMoney-Grimes. Visit
