MICKEY A. ZUMBRUN

June 16, 1939 — January 11, 2013

Mickey Allen Zumbrun, age 73, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 1:15 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2013 at his home.Born on June 16, 1939 in Wolf Lake, he was the son of Timothy L. and Lulu (Clingerman) Zumbrun.

He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1957 and served in the United States Army.On July 11, 1964 he married Dianne F. Ruckman at Larwill United Methodist Church.He has been a Whitley County lifetime resident and farmer. He worked at Dana Weatherhead for 35 years. He was a member of Weatherhead Pioneer Club and Wolf Lake United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne F. Zumbrun of Columbia City; 2 sons, Mark A. and Thomas B. (Paula) Zumbrun both of Columbia City; daughter, Brenda (Rockey) Hall of Hixon, TN; 3 grandchildren, Evan, Landon and Cayden Hall; 3 step grandchildren, Virgil, Jr., Crystal and Michael Rowe; 4 step great grandchildren, Zane Mullins, Hayden Kaminski, Ava and Marshall Rowe.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jack Zumbrun and sister, Charlotte Kyler.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 2-8:00 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Bock of Wolf Lake United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. Memorial gifts may be given in Mr. Zumbrun's memory to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
