Nicole Crowell

Nicole Leigh Crowell, age 45, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Friday May 27, 2016 at Parkview Whitley Hospital. Born on February 19, 1971 in Columbia City she was the daughter of Terry Crowell and Deborah (Wood) Vasquez.

Nicole attended local schools and graduated from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN with her degree in OTA.

Nicole had been a hair stylist in Minneapolis, MN for 15 years for several years. In 1999, she returned to Columbia City, working at Parkview Hospital and at Snippers.

In 2001, Nicole was diagnosed with Parkinsons and bravely fought her battle to the very end.

Survivors include her daughter Taylor Crowell of Fort Wayne; mother Deborah (Miguel) Vasquez of Columbia City; Father Terry Crowell of Cicero, IN; brothers Joshua Crowell and Wesley Crowell; maternal grandparents Bill (Phyllis) Wood of Columbia City; former husband and Rock of the family Dr. Richard Niccum of Columbia City.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Kenny and Betty Crowell and Raphael and Victoria Vasquez.

A memorial service for Nicole will be held at 11:00 am on June 3, 2016 at Victory Christian Fellowship, 1330 West Business 30, Columbia City, with calling one hour prior.

Memorial contributions in memory of Nicole may be made to her final expense account.
