NORMA JEAN MUNK

February 3, 1930 — January 9, 2013

Norma Jean Munk, age 82, of Albion, IN, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN. Born February 3, 1930 in Noble County, she was the daughter of Marlo and Eunice (Kiester) Stangland.

A lifetime resident of Noble County, she graduated from Wolf Lake High School with the Class of 1948. On November 28, 1948, she married James W. Munk at Wolf Lake Baptist Church.She retired from Dana Weatherhead, Columbia City in 1989.

Survivors include her sons, Marlo "Bud" L. (Nancy) Munk and Phillip E. Munk both of Albion; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Munk, daughter, Connie S. Munk and daughter-in-law, Pamela Sue Munk.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 2-6:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor George Cecil of the Cornerstone Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial will be at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
