OLA MARIE CORNETT

Ola Marie Cornett, age 85, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 10:00 p.m. February 3, 2010 at her home. Born on November 21, 1924 in Corbin, KY, she was the daughter of Delbert and Bessie Catherine (Cornn) Reynolds.She lived in Keavy, KY until 1980, moving to Roanoke and since 1991 living in Columbia City. She married John "J.B." Cornett on September 1946 at Corbin, KY. She was a homemaker and a member of Locust Grove Church of Christ, Keavy, KY.Survivors include her 4 children, Betty Lou (Don Dobbert)Slucher of Columbia City, Linda S. (Gerald) LaRue of Rainbow City, AL, Bill (Kathi) Cornett of Lilburn, GA; Lora Ann (David) Elliott of Hartselle, AL; 1 sister, Ella (Earl) Gunkel of Taylor Mill, KY; 2 brothers, Charles (Rose) O. Reynolds of Loveland, OH and James (Janice) Reynolds of Milford, OH; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, John "J.B." Cornett and brothers, Obert, Clifford, Paul and John Reynolds.Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010 and after 10 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the funeral home with Billy Parson, of the Freewill Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery, New Haven.
