Patricia A. Knight

Patricia A. Knight, age 72, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 12:24 am on Sunday June 23, 2024, at her residence. Born on October 30, 1951, in Fairborn, Ohio, she was the daughter of Irvin and Deloris (Sturgill) Baker.

Patricia attended Greenview High School, Jamestown, Ohio, and graduated with the Class of 1969.

On November 19, 1988, she married Homer Knight in Columbia City.

Patricia and Homer were self employed truck drivers for over 40 years.

She loved horses and also enjoyed playing cards and video games, fishing, and drawing, especially horses.

Survivors include her husband Homer Knight of Columbia City; children Samantha Riffe and Garrison Knight, both of Columbia City; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Doug (Alex) Baker of Baker, AZ; uncle Winford (Geneva) Sturgill of Whitesburg, KY; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepson Edward Knight, siblings Doris Shaw, Rose Morris, James Baker, and Stella Crist, and uncle Johnny Slaven.

Private services were held for Patricia’s family.

Memorial contributions in memory of Patricia may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
