Patricia E. Niedermeyer

Patricia E. Niedermeyer, 73, of Columbia City, passed away at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Millers at Oak Pointe. Born September 2, 1943 in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of Arthur and Marian (Bennett) Garrison.

She graduated from Arcola High School with the Class of 1961. On May 20, 1961, Patricia married William E. Niedermeyer at Grace Lutheran Church. She had been a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Red Hat Society and T.O.P.S. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed attending church, playing bingo, getting great deals at garage sales, rooting on the Atlanta Braves and following Billy Graham and Oral Roberts.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, William Niedermeyer, of Columbia City; son, William Niedermeyer, of Indianapolis; daughters, Jules (Jeff) Thompson, of South Whitley and Jennie (Barry) White, of Jasper, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; mother; step-father, Don Lyon; daughter-in-law, RebekahNiedermeyer; granddaughter, Christy Niedermeyer; brother, Kent Roberts; and a baby sister, Linda.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, 101 E North St, Columbia City. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday with Pastor David Mommens officiating.
