Patrick Ryan Dean, 44, of Columbia City passed away at 10:17 a.m. Friday, November 9, 2018 in Columbia City. Patrick was born in Columbia City the son of Joseph H.F. Dean and Rita Jean Ferber.

Patrick attended Coesse and Arcola schools and graduated with the Class of 1992 from Carroll High School. After graduating from high school he attended and received a Certificate in the Dairy Program at Michigan State University. He was active with Future Farmer's of America. Patrick was a livestock farmer. He owned Dean Hoof Trimming and was also a livestock dog trainer. He currently was employed with Micropulse in Columbia City.

He was married to Stephanie Hartoin on June 22, 2010.

Patrick is survived by his loving mother, Rita Jean Dean of Yoder, IN; 2 sons, Mason Samuel and Maxell Stockton Dean both of Columbia City; 1 brother, Scott Joseph Dean, Yoder; 1 sister, Jodi Elizabeth Dean of Tulsa, OK and father, Joseph Dean of Fort Wayne; he is also survived by several close and caring friends whom have been like family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Dean.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with calling one hour prior to service. Burial will take place at a later date at Washington Township Cemetery, Whitley County. Memorial donations made be given in Patrick's memory for his Final Expenses.
