PAUL EUGENE CREAGER

August 4, 1932 — November 19, 2013

Paul Eugene Creager, age 81, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away at 5:03 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013 surrounded by his family. Born on August 4, 1932 in Columbia City, he was the son of James R. and Effie L. (Garvin) Creager.

He grew up attending Oak Grove United Methodist Church and graduated from Larwill High School with the Class of 1950. Paul was a Korean War Army Veteran. On February 14, 1959 he married Sharon Ann Smith at Saturn Christian Church. They lived in Columbia City until 1977 then move to Woodburn for 3 years before moving to the New Haven area in 1980. Paul worked for Weatherhead in Columbia City, in the early 1950's and from 1956-1966 for Lancaster Plumbing Heating and Well Drilling in South Whitley. He worked 27 1/2 years for B. F. Goodrich in Woodburn and then Fort Wayne Auto Auction for 10 years.

Survivors include his daughters, Marilyn Landis and Ann (Jim) Whitaker, both of Fort Wayne; son, Russell Creager of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon Creager; and brother, James Creager.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. James Clifford officiating. Burial will follow at Nolt Cemetery.
