Paul Jon Gaddis

Paul Jon Gaddis, 64, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away while in hospice on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in Ft Wayne, Indiana.

Born January 4, 1960, in Michigan City, Indiana at St. Anthony Hospital, Paul was a son of the late Joan Claudette (Hatfield) Gaddis and Woodrow H. Gaddis.

Paul attended school at The Therapy Center, Mullins, and Rogers High School.  He was a fan of the Chicago Sports teams and competed in The Special Olympics when young, winning several Gold Medals.

He looked forward to playing at Grandmas' house with his brother. A favorite childhood activity was watching Creature Features with his brother and sharing jiffy pop. He enjoyed vintage movies and cartoons, drawing and music.

In recent years he resided at The Waters nursing home in Columbia City, Indiana.

Paul was also preceded in death by a brother, John A. Gaddis; and his stepfather, Joe Gumns.  Surviving family includes two brothers; Douglas Gaddis of Greenville, South Carolina, and Tim Gumns of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; along with several cousins.

There will be no services.  Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Michigan City.
