Peggy A. Johnson

Peggy A. Johnson, age 90 of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 6:34 pm on Monday September 9, 2024, at Miller’s at Oak Pointe, Columbia City. Born on April 9, 1934, in Spencerville, IN, she was the daughter of Glen and Zella (Schwartz) Romine.

Peggy attended Spencerville High School and graduated with the Class of 1952. She worked for North American Van Lines for the majority of her working career. Peggy enjoyed golfing, reading, playing piano, and gardening in her free time.

Survivors include her children, Tom (Liz) Rice of Columbia, IL, Johaunna “Jo” (Terry) Thornton of Vista, CA, and Tim (Christina) Rice of Columbia City; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Allen Johnson, and several siblings.

A private family service will be held for Peggy’s family.
