Richard "Ricky" Alan Landis

Richard Alan Landis, 60, of Columbia City, Ind. passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, surrounded by family. Born July 9, 1963, in Columbia City, he was a son of the late Robert Earl Landis, Sr. and Pauline "Polly" (Williamson) Landis who survives.

He graduated from Whitko High School with the Class of 1982. On September 24, 2005, he married Tracey (Kurtz) Landis.

Ricky was a workaholic; he worked at Essex Wire and Cable, Whitley Manufacturing, and finally found his love for work at Paragon Medical.

He enjoyed bowling, fishing and golfing with his friends and family. Ricky was an avid Indiana Hoosiers Basketball, Notre Dame Football, and Chicago Bears fan. You always knew when a game was on because you could hear him coaching from his lazy boy.

He enjoyed family trips UP North and spending time traveling with his wife. His most favorite pastime was spending time with his grandkids and watching them with all their extracurricular activities.
Family was the most important part of his life; he always enjoyed seeing and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Ricky is survived by his best friend and wife, Tracey; son, Joshua A. (Megan) Landis, daughter, Ellen M. (Nick) Slain, six grandchildren; Bailey, Summer, Isabelle, Jozlyn, Keirah, & Autumn; brothers, Robert E. Landis, Jr., Randy E. Landis, sisters, Pamela L. (Randy) Olinske, and Patti J. (Glenn) Hogue; and numerous nieces and nephews.
