RICK D. GRABLE

July 5, 1953 — April 28, 2011

Rick D. Grable, age 57, of Big Lake, Noble County, Ind., died at 11:14 p.m., on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at his residence.Born on July 5, 1953, he was the son of the late Richard D. and Barbara J. (VanHouten) Grable.

He was a graduate of Central Noble High School with the Class of 1971.He then went on to earn his real estate and brokers license.Since 1989 he has owned and operated his own real estate firm, Grable and Associates Realty in Columbia City.He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #189.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Rhonda Grable of Big Lake; son, Christopher (Jennifer) Grable of Charlestown, Ind., daughter, Angela (Mauro) Grable-Garcia of Columbia City, son, Chad (Angela) Rosales of Noblesville, Ind.; brother, Rev. Timothy (Cheri) Grable of Fort Wayne, sisters, Wendy (Roger) Shisler of Ballston Spa, NY and Lesa (Randy) Corkwell of Valparaiso, Ind; grandchildren, Tyler and Devon Weber and Keanu Garcia-Neto all of Columbia City and Riley Grable of Charlestown, Ind.He was also a 20 year friend of Bill W.He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City.Funeral service will be Monday, May 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Timothy Grable of Sugar Grove Church of God officiating.Burial to follow at Thorn Cemetery, Ormas, Ind.Memorials in Mr. Grable's memory can be made to the Colin McIntire's Muscular Dystrophy Fund c/o Markle Bank.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
