Roberta Fay Graves

Roberta Fay Graves, age 92, of Columbia City, In, passed away at 9:20 pm on Thursday November 17, 2022, at The Waters of Columbia City.  Born on May 3, 1930, in Grand Rapids, MI, she was the daughter of Oliver and Loda (Jerraid) Ratcliffe.

Roberta moved from Michigan, with her parents, to Noble County.  She attended Etna-Troy Township Schools and lived in the Big Lake and Merriam area for most of her life.

Roberta worked as a quality control inspector and machine operator for Essex Group Inc. in Ligonier and Topeka for 20 years.  She then worked as a machine operator for Wolf Lake Products for 11 years, until her retirement in 1995.  Roberta was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1906 Ladies Auxiliary, Columbia City.

Survivors include her son William Calhoon of Columbia City; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother Jack Jerraid of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Don Calhoon, second husband Earl Graves, sons Jerry and James Calhoon, sister Joan Hull.

A private family burial will be held in Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
