Ronald E. Neeley, 73, of Warsaw, Ind. passed away at 1:35 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. Born on August 31, 1940 in Utica, Pa., he was the son of Hiram J. and Cora M.(Deets) Neeley.
He graduated from Meadville High School with the of Class 1958 and attended Erie Commercial College for two years before moving to Marion, Ind. to attend Indiana Wesleyan for the next three years. On August 17, 1963, Ronald married the love of his life and best friend, Jacqueline L. Magers in Marion. In 1974 he and his family moved to the Warsaw area. He was the owner and president of New Beginnings Nutrition in Warsaw.He was a member of Warsaw Community Church, Friend of Bill W. and the 24 hour Club.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Jackie Neeley; children, Ronda J. (Steven) Holloway of Rochester, Steve M. (Melanie) Neeley of Fort Wayne, Mark A. (Bridget Swick) Neeley of Warsaw, Jacqueline M. "Shelley" (Gary) Kunkle of North Webster, Christopher T. (Robin) Neeley of South Whitley; sisters, Donna Meeks of Shipshewana, Carol Bollinger of Valencia, Pa. and Ruth Hall of Indianapolis; brother, Paul Neeley of Shipshewana; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William, Fred, Dale, Elwood and Allen Neeley; sister, Georgia Hogg; and granddaughter, Audry N. Neeley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Warsaw Community Church, 1855 S. County Farm Rd, Warsaw with calling one hour prior. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Neeleys memory to Warsaw Community Church or Riley Childrens Foundation.
