RONALD RAY ROSS

September 29, 1916 — December 13, 2007

Ronald Ray Ross, age 91, of Huntington, IN died at 8:05 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. Born on September 29, 1916 in Lisbon, ND, he was the son of Ray and Ethel (Yeoman) Ross.

He graduated from Huntington High School with the Class of 1934. On January 20, 1940 he was united in marriage to Mary Praklet in Mishawaka, IN. He retired from Our Sunday Visitor, Inc., Huntington, IN on December 31, 1979. A resident of Huntington for 24 years, he moved to Warsaw, IN in 1967, and Leesburg, FL in 1992, before moving to Fruitland Park, FL. In 2005, he moved to Heritage Pointe, Huntington, IN. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.

Survivors include sons, Thomas L. (Karen) Ross of Arvada, CO, Robert R. (Andris) Ross of Andrews, IN and Roger W. (Janna) Ross of Fremont, IN; a daughter, M. Marlene (Al) Korpi of Livonia, MI; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Christman of Huntington, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, twin grandsons, Scott and Todd Ross, great-grandson, Robert Bradford Ross and brothers, Russell and Kenneth G. Ross.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to 12 noon with funeral mass following at 12 noon on Monday, December 17, 2007 at St. Marys Catholic Church, 903 N Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN with Father John Pfister officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Ross to church masses of the donors choice or Heritage of Huntington Activities Department Fund.
