Rose M. Gray, 60, of Albion, Ind., passed away at 11:50 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at her home. Born April 15, 1956 in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of Billy R. and Etta M. (Sites) Davis.
She grew up in New Haven, Ind. until moving to Big Lake when she was a senior. She went on to graduate fromCentral Noble High School with the Class of 1974. It was during this time that she met Gary Gray and the two dated from June 18, 1972 until June 13, 1973 before going their separate ways. Fate would have it that they would meet again and on January 1, 1997, they were married after having their reception party at their home the evening before.
She had worked at Parker Hannifin in Albion from 1985 until 2014. Rose was a member of the HOG Club and enjoyed riding her Harley Davison. As a young gal she learned to ride motorcycles and after riding with Gary, she sold his Camaro and bought her own Harley so they could ride together. They took numerous trips on their bikes, touring all around including riding to Sturgis, South Dakota for bike week. Rose enjoyed riding her Harley every day possible and it brought her even more joy when her daughter startedriding with her. On some of the trips, including going to Sturgis, Rose found it also fun to camp. When she was not riding or camping, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and doing crafts with them. She also found relaxation in sewing. It was hard for Rose to stop riding after the news of having a brain tumor. She and Gary traded their Hogs in for a Harley Davidson trike. She was a strong willed lady and even after the tumor left her with limited mobility in her right arm, she still found a way to quilt and put together blankets for her family.
