Rose Mary Jones

Rose Mary Jones, 83, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away at 3:34 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Parkview Hospital. Born on May 23, 1931 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Leo S. Adamski and Mellva (Hickey) Flanders.

She attended Central Catholic and Northside High School in Fort Wayne. On June 17, 1961, she married Lester R. Jones, Jr. She worked at Maloley's Grocery Store in Fort Wayne for 21 years and The Cove and Tri Lakes Tavern in Columbia City for several years. She and her husband enjoyed spending the summer months at Tri Lakes and in 1981, moved there permanently. In 2011, Rosemary moved back to Ft. Wayne. She was raised Catholic and was a member of Disabled American Veterans.She loved her animals, watching Hockey and rooting for the Ft. Wayne Komets.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sue Dunbar of Coldwater, Michigan; grandchildren, Misty (Tim) May of Warren, Michigan, Tina (Frank) Reavis and Keri Dunbar both of Ft. Wayne; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lester R. Jones, Jr. in 2000; and son, Michael A. Dunbar in 1987.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. with Certified Funeral Celebrant Sharon Brockhaus officiating. Entombment will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery.Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Jones to the Humane Society of Whitley County.
