Roselyn A. Roth

Roselyn A. Roth, 81, of Columbia City, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born April 1, 1939 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of William and Armella (Bendele) Boschet.

She graduated from Central Catholic High School with the Class of 1957. Rosie was very nurturing, compassionate, loving, and was a lifelong caregiver. She began as a nanny while in high school, raised five loving children and was a nursing assistant for Parkview Randallia Hospital for 25 years. On June 20, 1981, Rosie married Jerry Roth. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She was the scrabble queen, enjoyed camping and sitting by the campfires, and found relaxation fishing off the pier with Jerry or taking a pontoon ride around Loon Lake.

Rosie is survived by her daughters, Jeannie Boschet, Cynthia (Terry) Howell and Catherine Trammel; son, Russell (Dawn) Lapp; other children, Tracey (Colleen) Roth, Sheila (Jim) VanCamp and Jason (Tessa) Roth; sister, Glenda Remaklus; sister-in-law, Helen Boschet; brother-in-law, Tom Auer; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Janis Boschet; sisters, Joannie Farmer and Judy Auer; brother, Jim Boschet; and two grandsons, Matt and Chad Neuhaus.

Visitation is 1 to 4 pm  Sunday, March 21, 2021 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Face masks are required for attendance. There will be a private graveside service where she and her husband will be laid to rest at Greenhill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
