Savannah B. Lepley, 95, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor in Columbia City, IN. Born on October 13, 1918 in Whitley County, she was the daughter of Lewis and Anna (Rhodes) Jones.
She graduated from Pierceton High School with the Class of 1936. After graduation, she married Guy Lepley. Savannah worked at the Sears store off Rudisill Blvd. in Fort Wayne for over 25 years, retiring in 1994. She is a member of Westfield Presbyterian Church and Calvary Third Presbyterian Church in Fort Wayne.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Ann (Keith Ed) Henley of Columbia City; son, Joe (Nila) Lepley of Columbia City; sisters, Donna Hahn of Winona Lake and Shirley Kreger of Warsaw; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Helen Mielke, Hanna Waterson, Maxine Gebert, Nelle Gordon, Betty Wolfe and Naomi Phebus; and brother, Hayden Jones.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 with Rev. David Arnold officiating.Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Ft. Wayne.
