Scott Rolland Kimmel, 57, of Stockport, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021 at his home with his mom by his side. Born April 1, 1964 in France, he was the son of James R. Kimmel and Sharon (Robinette) Kimmel-Miller.
After his father served in the U.S. Army, Scott's family moved back from France to Columbia City, Indiana. In 1971, the family moved to Hilliard, Ohio where Scott attended high school. He had worked at various sawmills and owned his own auto body repair service, Kimmel's Body Shop.
Scott is survived by his loving mother, Sharon Kimmel-Miller; brothers, Robin Kimmel and Heath (Chrys) Kimmel; stepdaughter, Kalysta Kimmel; stepchildren, Robert Fankell, Nathan (Sarah) Wheeler and Stephanie Kimmel; grandchildren, Grayson and Katerina; and niece, Kirsten. He was preceded in death by his father and his girlfriend of over 20 years on June 20, 2021, Kim Fankell.
Visitation will be 12-1:45 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with his funeral service to begin at 2 p.m. Scott will laid to rest at Greenhill Cemetery near his dad and grandparents. Memorial donations may be given in memory of his beloved girlfriend, Kim for breast cancer awareness to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
