Scott Kevin Simpson, beloved son of Ronald Simpson and Elizabeth (Meade) Simpson, was born on February 3, 1960, in Des Moines, Iowa. He peacefully departed from this world on April 14, 2024, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Scott's life was marked by dedication and commitment. He dedicated 30 years of unwavering service to C & A Tool before retiring. His strong work ethic and passion for his career left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Educated at Carroll High School with the Class of 1978, Scott valued learning and personal growth throughout his life. Alongside his professional achievements, he treasured the memories and friendships formed during his academic years.
He was a proud member of American Legion Post 157 and VFW Post 3846, in honor of his father who was a past Post Commander.
In his leisure time, Scott found joy in a variety of hobbies and interests. Whether he was playing shuffleboard, pool, darts, or engaging in boating adventures, Scott's adventurous spirit was always evident. He particularly cherished moments spent with family along with attending college and pro football games as well as NASCAR races. Scott also loved riding his Harley and was always up for an adventure.
Scott leaves behind a legacy that will be forever cherished by those he loved dearly. In addition to his surviving family members - brother, Mark Simpson and sister, Ronda (Joe) Bauer - Scott is survived by nieces and nephews; Julie (Kevin) Foster, Joey (Kasey) Bauer, Corey (Maria) Simpson, and Jason (Katie) Simpson. The circle of love expands further with great nieces and nephews; Elizabeth, Layla, Aliyah, Sophia, Adam, Rex, Max, Kale, Cameron, Miah, Nyla, Parker, and Ryker.
Scott's Legacy can be defined as, he lived his life as he wanted on his own terms.
Services to celebrate Scott's life will be held at on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, 11:00 am with calling one hour prior at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home located at 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City, IN. Burial will be at Christian Chapel Cemetery.
Scott's indomitable spirit and kind heart will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
