Shelby Lee McClellan

Shelby Lee McClellan, 26, of Columbia City, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from injuries from a car wreck along with her unborn son, Ty and daughter Olivia. Born June 1, 1994 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Travis Lee McClellan and Elizabeth (Slusher) King.

Growing up the youngest of four, Shelby was involved with being in beauty pageants, spending time with her family, cheerleading and playing baseball. She had attended Central Noble High School and graduated from Churubusco High School with the Class of 2010. Following high school, she worked at Miller's Merry Manor in Columbia City and Dexter Axel in Albion before becoming a mother. Shelby adored her son, Abel, daughter, Olivia and was excited to welcome her baby son, Ty on June 16, 2021.

Sweet, loving, gorgeous and outgoing is how Shelby will be remembered by her family. She was not one to hold a grudge, was very social and did not know a stranger. She had a keen sense of adventure and loved to visit her grandparents in Tennessee and going to Dollywood.

Shelby is survived by her father, Travis Lee (Tonya) McClellan; mother, Elizabeth "Ellie" (Terry Steele) King; son, Abel M.Warner; four brothers, Terry (Tina Fry) McClellan, Trever McClellan, Anthony "Tony" McClellan and Zachery Maloney; grandparents, Gale and Linda Herendeen and Dud and Sandy Slusher. Ty Matthew McClellan-Centers also is survived by his father, Zachary Centers and grandparents, Lynette and Frederick Fuller. Shelby was preceded in death by her daughter, Olivia Rose Warner; infant son, Ty Matthew McClellan-Centers; grandmother, Cindy Slusher; and a great-grandmother, Norma Jean Bolinger.

Visitation for Shelby will be 12 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services for Shelby, Ty and Oliva will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Steve Herendeen will be officiating. All three will be laid to rest at Thorn Cemetery. With limited seating at the funeral home, their service may also be watched on Facebook through DeMoney-Grimes Live . Memorial donations may be given in memory to DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home.
