Shirley A. Goff, age 82, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away at 11:45 pm Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Parkview Oaks, Columbia City. Born on May 23, 1931 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Judson Mote and Violet Bessie (Hanson) Foltz.
She lived her entire life in the Allen County and Whitley County area.She graduated Columbia City High School with the Class of 1949. On October 3, 1976 she married Stanley C. Goff in Columbia City. She had worked at Essex Wire & Cable in Columbia City and Vera Bradley in Ft. Wayne for a short time. She also was a housewife and homemaker.She attended church at the First Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years; daughters, Cheryl A. (Don) Bolding of Brunswick, GA and Julie E. (Jim) Argerbright of Pierceton; son, Gary M. (Donna) Holbrook of Macy; step-sons, Paul C. (Paula) Goff of Roanoke and Randy S. (Tina) Goff of Hudson; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; step-sisters, Lois Tuttle and Iris Chopak; and step-brother, Art Foltz. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Greg Goff; and a step -brother, Richard Foltz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 2 to 7 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Frank Sitcler officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery, Ft. Wayne. Memorials may be given in Mrs. Goffs memory to Heartland Hospice Care.
