Stanley Ford Kistler, age 77, of Pierceton, IN passed away at 10:55 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Warsaw Meadows Care Center, Warsaw. Born on August 25, 1935 in Warsaw, he was the son of Floyd and Evelyn (Kilgore) Kistler.
He was a lifetime resident of Pierceton and he graduated from Pierceton High School. On April 4, 1970, he married Pamala Sue Krom at Zion Lutheran Church, Columbia City.He retired after 34 years service in 2000 from Viking Inc., Columbia City as a supervisor. He was a member of Pierceton Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Pamala Sue Kistler of Pierceton; daughter, Kendra S. (Robert) Courtney of Pierceton; son, David L. (Tori) Kistler of Claypool; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Kay Kistler.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 2, 2013 with Sharon Brockhaus, Certified Funeral Celebrant officiating at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Whitley County Korean War Veteran's Honor Guard. Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Kistler's to Koscuisko Home Care and Hospice.
