STEPHEN A. GARARD

Stephen A. Garard, age 61, of Big Lake, Columbia City, IN passed away at 12:30AM, January 31, 2013, at his residence.Born on September 20, 1951, in Wabash County, he was the son of Frankand Madelyn (Barnett) Garard.

Stephen was a 1970 graduate of Snider High School in Fort Wayne. He was employed as an oil field land surveyor and in recent years was self employed as a construction contractor. On August 3, 1997 in Fort Wayne, Stephen married Denise Dickmeyer.

Survivors include loving wife, Denise Garard of Columbia City; step-daughter, Maggie Wallace of Pooler, Georgia; 2 step-grand daughters Sonya and Audrey Wallace both of Pooler, Georgia; mother Madelyn Garard of Fort Wayne; 3 sisters, Deborah (Tom) Milton of Columbia City, Brenda (Keith) Thomas of New Haven, and Theresa (Manford) Konczalla of Sebring, Florida. Stephen was preceded in death by his father Frank Garard and son-in-law Ricky Wallace.

There will be no calling or service per Mr. Garard's request. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City.
