Steven Ross Bair Sr., 72, of Columbia City, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at his home with family by his side. Born December 12, 1948 in Kendallville, he was the son of Glen Bair and Joan (Beekman) Pranger.

Growing up in Fort Wayne, Steve competed in Track and Pole Vault. He was in the first graduating class at R. Nelson Snider High School in 1967. On August 26, 1983, he married Audrey L. (Newell) Geiger. Steve worked for Erie Haven for 52 years and retired from IMI in 2016. He spent the majority of his career at the Ardmore Redi Mix as a driver. Steve found relaxation fishing all year round, being outdoors, and bowling and golfing with his loving wife, Audrey. He enjoyed trips to Shipshewana or traveling around and going to bowling tournaments to support his wife. Family meant a lot to Steve and his grandchildren were his reward after raising his children. Steve adored and cherished the time spent with grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Bair; daughter, Mari Lynn Miller; and sister, Kandy Coe.
