Terry Lee Moyer

Terry Lee Moyer, 72, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at his daughter's home. Born December 17, 1950 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Joseph and Mary (Anderson) Moyer.

He grew up in South Whitley and graduated from Whitko High School with the Class of 1969. Terry went on to serve in the U.S. Army. He had been a crane operator for Carey Construction for several years and worked for Hoffman Farms. In 2016, he married his long time girlfriend Sandy Stanley and helped raise her grandson, Lance (Mariah) Roberts. Terry had been a member of the American Legion and loved being outdoors. Over the years Terry enjoyed mowing, cutting wood, camping, boating, canoeing, spending time at the lakes and tending to his vegetable gardens. He was a social guy who loved spending time with family and friends over the 4th of July, he was goofy, he was fun to be around, and he could always make you laugh.

Terry is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Adam Bowman; daughter, Kim Moyer; grandchildren, Jack and Henry Maggart, Olive Mina, Stella Mock and Caroline Moyer; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Diane Moyer; and sister-in-law, Jill Moyer. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Moyer in 2017; and brother, Rick Moyer.

Visitation will be 3 to 7 pm Thursday, May 11, 2023 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, May 12, 2023 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home,  with Pastor Tim Grable officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army.
