THELMA TAYLOR

Thelma Taylor, 91, of Columbia City, IN passed away at her residence at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2007. Born in Auburn, IN, on December 27, 1915 she was the daughter of Romeo and Emma (Steffen) Dragoo.

She was raised in Auburn, IN where she attended Auburn High School. She moved to Fort Wayne, IN in 1945. On April 3, 1948 she was united in marriage to Judson W. Taylor at Sherman Street Church of God, Fort Wayne, IN. A resident of Columbia City since 1948, Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Theda (Vernon) Neel, Huntington, IN; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Russell Miller, second husband, Judson Taylor, son, Alvin Miller, step-son, David Taylor, step-daughter, Myrna Sue Mullins, sister, Sophia Dragoo-Brandon and half brother, Lewis Herrick.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2007 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service is Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Robin LaRue of Heartland Hospice officiating. Burial is Monday, December 24, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorial bequests may be given in Mrs. Taylors memory to Heartland Hospice.
