Columbia City

Todd Allen Reed, 51, of Columbia City, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 2, 2024, at home. Born January 28, 1973, in Columbia City, Indiana he was a son of Thomas and Phyllis (McIntosh) Reed.

He graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1991 and went on to earn his associate's degree from Vincennes University. Todd was a retired United States Army veteran, having honorably served his country as a military police officer for over 20 years. He was appointed as a Trooper on December 13, 1999, as a graduate of the 58th Recruit Academy (first in his class). During his career, he served on the Fort Wayne District's All Crimes Policing (ACP) squad, focusing on highway criminal interdiction primarily in Whitley and Allen Counties. Additionally, he had served as a District Squad Leader and as a member of the Marijuana Eradication Program, Meth Suppression Unit, and Tactical Intervention Platoon.

On December 1, 2001, he married his best friend and love of his life Jodie Cook in Las Vegas. Todd and his wife were a match made in Heaven and where one was the other would be. They enjoyed traveling together and trying new restaurants. Todd loved cheering all of his boys on at wrestling events and was the best father to the three of them. Todd loved every member of his family so deeply. He took care of his parents daily and loved spending time on their front porch with them. He lived next door to them for the past 15 years. Family was a large part of Todd's life. His favorite thing to do while spending time with them was picking on them. Another hobby he loved was playing poker and collecting trading cards. He was an avid Indiana Fever basketball and Notre Dame Football fan. Todd also belonged to the Gracie Fort Wayne Jiu-Jitsu family.
