Tonya Jean Fletcher

May 31, 1957 — December 28, 2016

Tonya Jean Fletcher, 59, of Albion, Ind., passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born May 31, 1957 in Portland, she was the daughter of Marge (Billman) Fifer.

She attended Central Noble High School and received her Associates Degree from Ivy Tech. On January 1, 1988 Tonya married Michael Ray Fletcher. She had worked for 24 years for Essex- Dana PTG in Columbia City and several years for DePuy Orthopedics in Warsaw.

Tonya loved being with her family. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren to waterparks, mushroom hunting, camping in the familys woods, going to the lakes, crocheting and making blankets, cooking, and canning.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Fletcher; mother, Marge Fifer, of Columbia City; sons, Travis (Alta) Pequignot, Shane (Tara) Fletcher, Trent (April) Pequignot, all of Columbia City; daughters, Shannon Isom, of Ft. Wayne and Katie Fletcher, of Albion; sisters, Sharrie (Elias) Cruz, of Columbia City, Debbie (Steve) Kamp, of Ft. Wayne and Linda Fifer, of Columbia City; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation is 12-1:45 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2017 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday with Pastor Phil Rittner officiating. Burial will follow at Eel River Presbyterian Cemetery in rural Columbia City.
