Victor I. Cunningham

Victor I. Cunningham, age 77 of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 12:45 pm on Friday September 30, 2022, at Majestic Care of West Allen, Fort Wayne.  Born on December 24, 1944, in Marion, IN, he was the son of Frederick and Dorothy (Miller) Cunningham.

Victor attended Oak Hill High School, Converse and graduated with the Class of 1963.  He worked as a correctional officer at Chain-O-Lakes and in Plainfield.  Victor also was a driver for CKD Transport.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose 1480, New Haven and American Legion Post 98, Columbia City.  Victor loved Pepsi and collected Pepsi cars and memorabilia.  He also enjoyed various gambling games including pull-tabs, scratch offs, and playing the lottery.

Survivors include his wife Billie Cunningham of Columbia City; children Keith (Jennifer) Cunningham of Kouts, Richard (Erin) Cunningham of Fort Wayne, Julie Cunningham of Greenwood, and Michael “Joe” Cunningham of Fort Wayne; step-sons Timothy Foster of Columbia City and Justin (Natasha) Foster of Fort Wayne; grandchildren Kyle, Ashley, Cheyenne, and Claire; great-grandchildren Emma, Lillian, John, and Ari; step-grandchildren Maddison, Derrick, Titan, Cassius, and Julian; siblings Becky Shafer of Marion, Shirl Mitchum of Lexington, KY, Nancy Jones of Gas City, Tammi Cunningham of Marion, and Michael (Deb) Haynes of Marion; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Dorothy Cunningham, step-mother Barb Cunningham, siblings Frederick Cunningham, Mary Ann Jones, and Robert Cunningham, step-sisters Terrie Haynes and Cathy Haynes Thompson.

A private family service will be held for Victor in accordance with his wishes.
