Vincent Natilio Harris, age 45, of Columbia City, Ind., died Friday, July 23, 2010 at 5:48 p.m. at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind. Born on June 25, 1965 in Quincy, MA he was the son of the late Walter and Barbara (Mitchell) Harris.
He lived in Quincy, MA his entire life until moving to Columbia City, Ind. on January 1, 2009 with his family. On May 22, 2004 he married Jennifer Rand in Randolph, MA. A devoted father and husband he was a licensed plumber but chose to stay at home and care for his children. He was a former member of the Adams Heights Club in Quincy, MA.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Harris of Columbia City; daughters, Jamie Harris of Quincy, MA and Gina Marie Harris of Columbia City; son, Joseph Natilio Harris of Columbia City; brothers, Stephen M. (Deborah) Harris of Pawtucket, RI, Michael D. Harris of Easton, MA, and John G. Harris of Quincy, MA; sister, Laura A. Harris-Wolf of Florida; aunt and uncle, Linda and David Dyment of Quincy, MA; his best friend of many years, Stephen Mallett of Bourne, MA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will take place in Massachusetts at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made in Mr. Harris' memory to the National Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City, IN.
