William Bill Forsythe

January 6, 1940 — March 17, 2017

William Lloyd Bill Forsythe, 77, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital. Born January 6, 1940 in Jefferson Township of Whitley County, he was the son of Lloyd and Ruth Lucille (McMaken) Forsythe.

He has spent his entire lifetime on the family farm in Jefferson Township. He graduated from Jefferson Center High School with the Class of 1958. Starting in 1973, Bill was a driver for Nowak Supply and had worked for over 30 years. He had attended Saturn Christian Church and was a faithful member and elder at North Christian Church, where he enjoyed being active in the Mens Fellowship, Choir and playing the hand bells. He loved to walk, spending time outside in the nature and attending the farm shows. He was a very hard worker who stayed busy and was a very social person.

Survivors include his sisters, Adelia Dee Jackson, of Fort Wayne and Ann M. (William) Zirkelbach, of Decatur; nieces, Diane Jackson and Angie (Kevin) Dailey; nephews, Douglas (Wanda) Jackson and David Zirkelbach; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Monday at North Christian Church, 5201 S Camden Dr., Fort Wayne with calling an hour prior. Pastor Kate Penney Howard will be officiating.
