Connie S. Foster

Connie S. Foster, 82, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at The Waters of Columbia City. Born February 20, 1940 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Walter and Eleanor (Harter) Pontzius.

She graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1958. On September 13, 1958, she married William Foster in Brimfield. Connie had worked for Precision Plastics, Bluebell and Weatherhead.

Connie is survived by her daughters, Billie Jo Cunningham and Jody (Gary) Burton; grandsons, Justin (Natasha) Foster and Timothy Foster; great-grandchildren, Maddison, Derrick, Titan, Cassius and Julian; and sisters, Sandy Parker, Vicki (Butch) Cohen.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William in 2020; son, Gary "Tiny" Foster in 2003; son-in-law, Victor Cunningham in September of 2022; and brothers, Billy Pontzius, Dick Pontzius and Mike Pontzius.

Funeral services will be 11 am Monday, December 12, 2022 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with calling one hour prior. Funeral Celebrant Sharon Brockhaus will be officiating. Burial will follow where she will be laid to rest beside her husband at South Park Annex Cemetery.
