Roberta Mae Pritchard, 79, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 10:21 a.m. Sunday, January 11, 2015 at her home. Born July 8, 1935 in Noble County, she was the daughter of Albert and Margaret M.(Stewart) Birch.
Roberta lived in Noble County until she married Jack E. Pritchard on September 15, 1953. Since then, she had lived in Whitley County.She graduated from Wolf Lake High School with the Class of 1953. Roberta was a faithful and devoted member at Blue River Church of the Brethren. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed collecting bells and books.
She is survived by her son, Alan L. (Cathy) Pritchard of Columbia City; daughters, Linda L. Hartman, Penny S. (Ron) McCain and Pam M. (Jerry) Calhoon, all of Columbia City; sister, Norma Jean Bolinger of Wolf Lake; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack E. Pritchard.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 5 to7 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Blue River Church of the Brethren, 3040 East 700 North, Columbia City with Pastor Craig Myers officiating.Burial will follow at Thorn Cemetery.Memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Pritchard's memory towards the Deacon's fund at Blue River Church of the Brethren.
